I purchased this amp, as a Band-aid, while my old school HiFonics VIII Colossus was having some new Caps put in it, Currently driving 4 jl audio 10w6 v2d4s,
I thought well may be this amp "the Soundstream Tarantula TX1.2600D", would be able to push two of the subs, I am running 0 gauge all the way through, 220 amp power max alt, and an XS Power D6500 3900 Amp AGM Power Cell, I installed the amp and tuned it with a smd dd1 to set the input sensitivity, all ready to go, hooked 2 of the subs up at 1 ohm and I was surprised to see how well the excursion was moving, huh? so I hooked up the other 2, now at .5 ohms, witch, is the lowest ohm rating for this amp and all 4 subs moving great but the bass is not as tight as the old school amp i had sent in for some new caps.
This amp is great if you are into booming lots of ghetto, raver, pimp my system with lazer led blue light and cheap plastic spider glued to it, and weird amp ends that are near impossible to install with all the wires. This amp is put together with cheap plastic, and the dampening factor is non existent, what that means is you better have alot of juice going to this thing real 0 gauge OFC copper power wire, DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT RUN THIS AMP WITH COPPER CLAD ALUMINUM!!!!!!!!CCA WIRE WITH THIS AMP CAN BE DANGEROUS AT HIGH VOLUME USE 0 GAUGE OXYGEN FREE COPPER WIRE NOTHING ELSE PLEASE OXYGEN FREE COPPER IS RATED AT ABOUT 350 AMPS AT 20 FEET, O GAUGE CCA IS RATED AT 175 AMPS AT 20 FEET THIS AMP REQUIRES 250 AMPS AT FULL TILT! YOU WILL RUN THE RISK OF MELTED WIRE COVER AND WHEN THAT HITS METAL EXPECT A FIRE AS THAT WILL GET HOTTER THEN YOUR ELECTRIC STOVE CRANKED TO FULL HEAT!!! NO CCA CRAP!. purchase your wire from a reputable source! Back to the ghetto amp, it will push the watts for you bass heads out there, if you are a SQ guy like me and need a quick amp just to get you by until your good amp is available this is it, other wise it is just a cheap plastic POS. Give it the power and it will give you loud boomy type bass forget all about SQ with this amp. So you guys out there that are SQ guys go save the money and get yourselves an Audison, Zed, Sundown audio, or old school ppi, and hifonics. These amps push clean, also the audison amps you can truly tune! Stick with the good stuff, and you will get that clean tight bass you deserve, for the booming guys you hear 3 blocks away, i have seen 2 of these amps in combination push 152 DB, will you be able to here the vocals? HELL NO! Bass freaks with 24 inch chrome wheels on your 1987 rattle can painted ghetto whatever trunk rattler, this is a good buy for you guys, for you guys driving an Austin Martin Vanquish, get yourselves an Audison and forget you ever saw this. CHEERS!

This amp is amazing! i have it wired down to 0.5 ohms on 2 kicker l5 15 inch woofers and it slams! My friend had ordered the same amp through another company and his had the bass knob destroyed this is a great service mine was perfect when it arrived. The shipping was even a little faster than expected. The amp excepts a 0 gauge power and ground inputs (some websites say its 4 gauge.. it's not.) If you get this amp be sure to keep the voltage at 14.4 volts for max power. I had a single battery, 200 amp alt, and a 2 farad capacitor and it would suck it down to 8 volts! You will probably need a second battery a 200 amp alt and a volt meter. other than that its a good amp!

This amp will blow you away this is what you want when you want to bass out,car bass head.stable to 0.5 ohm
