From the Manufacturer
POWER FROM THE GODS has delivered an incredible line of products to us mere mortals on Earth; Gladiator! This line of amplifiers exists for one reason, for car audio enthusiasts that will not settle for "me too" look-a-like amplifiers and demand the absolute best in power and sound quality. Gladiator offers 6 models in multiple configurations including mono blocks.
Gladiator Design
The Gladiator design is unique to Hifonics. POWER FROM THE GODS in this case is a DESIGN FROM THE GODS. A high polish chrome finish with a grill pattern over an extruded aluminum heat sink. No other amplifier looks like Gladiator and no other amplifier makes the POWER FROM THE GODS!
Illuminated Hifonics Logo
The Gods demand our attention. With Hifonics Gladiator, your amplifiers will demand to be noticed. When the amplifiers are powered on, the Hifonics logo illuminates in "Hifonics Blue". Everyone will know, you demand only the best.
Ultra-Fi MOSFETS
Ultra-Fi MOSFET output devices boost the amplifiers performance by lowering the Total Harmonic Distortion & Noise (THD & N) and increasing the transient response with faster Slew Rates. Combined with the Differential inputs that combat electrical noises right at the front of the amps input RCA's, the end result is the Ultra-Fi circuitry delivers the cleanest and widest band width possible.
A/B Analog Class Multi-Channel Amps
The Gladiator multi-channel amplifiers are designated as Class A/B amplifiers. These amplifiers offer better power efficiency than Class A designs and have much lower distortion levels than Class B designs. What does this mean to you? Hifonics has ensured that our multi-channel amplifiers will provide crystal clear output and accurate reproduction of your music without hampering your electrical system.
PWM Power Supply
The PWM Pulse Width Modulated power supply in the Gladiator amplifiers helps to improve the typical rate of lost output power as voltage drops.
Molded Terminals
Nothing worse than setting aside a weekend to do an install only to a have cheap connector crack or break off. Never with Hifonics, the Gladiator features a molded terminal set that will accommodate real tools and are strong enough for the professional installer or the DIY weekend installer.
Opposite end power and signal input
Power and ground on one end, signal on the other end keeps the input from the source; a CD, Radio or portable digital player separate. Keeping these connectors on opposite sides of the amplifier keeps distortion and "cross talk" to an absolute minimum. Cross talk is a distortion that occurs when a buzz or a pop or a tick can jump from a power wire into a signal cable. It does not sound good and we avoid it with our opposite end power and signal connections.
Military Grade PCB
Even though you may never see the inside, Hifonics amplifiers are constructed on the highest grade of Printed Circuit Boards. They are designated "Military" as the armed services demand an "over engineered" standard to deal with the harsh environments in which military electronics must survive. For a Hifonics amplifier, nothing is stronger than a Military specification Printed Circuit Board. This assures your system will be as reliable as possible.
CEA Certified
The mobile audio industry defines that amplifiers be rated the same to offer consumers the ability to compare apples to apples. The Gladiator series from Hifonics are CEA certified, allowing for real comparison. After you review power, features, and price, you will know that the Gladiator is a excellent choice for a great system design.
Remote Level Control Included With Mono Models
Every piece of music is different and this is not a comment about real singers or auto-tune singers vs. real drums and electronic drums. This is a comment about what makes music different. Artists, recording engineers and even garage bands publishing their own MP3 files on the internet mix their music and master the final EQ a little bit different. These differences are most noticeable in the lower bass. That means you will need to make small adjustments to assure that your electronic music sounds as good as your alternative rock. The Hifonics amplifiers all include a wired remote that controls the gain of your bass setting at the amplifier. This is a very crucial tool for those that enjoy many styles of music so you can keep all the music sounding perfect, all the time.
RCA Inputs and Outputs
All Hifonics amplifiers use standard RCA in/outputs to assure all your equipment can be wired together with other components. No running to the electronics store looking for that crazy 9 pin cable that no one sells. Flexible and easy. That's the Hifonics way.
Built-in System Diagnostics
The built in diagnostic will detect shorted speaker leads, low impedance, DC offset and dangerously high temperatures. If a problem develops the amplifier will shut down to help prevent damage.

By P. Novak
I've had a Punch amplifier in my car for years, and always thought it was a bit lacking.
This amplifier has been a wonderful upgrade, it has significantly more power than what it replaced. Installation was straightforward as the car was already wired for the old amplifier. I'm not sure I would have been able to run the cable from my battery to the unit myself, so consider installation costs if you aren't too handy..
Sonically, this amplifier was a very nice upgrade. The bass in clearer and louder than my old amplifier. It didn't take long to get it properly adjusted, and sounding great. So no complaints here, it sounds great, looks great, and dropped right in for me.

By William A. Nolan
This was installed in a Chevy Suburban, and it sounds good! Nice, solid bass, but doesn't shake the truck (or the neighborhood). Clean bass requires power, and this has that. Getting power to run it required a direct, fused lead to the battery, and then it was pretty easy. I am running two 12" woofers, and getting no discernible distortion. I took off one star because it gets pretty warm.

By D. Crain
Lets be serious. No one that would buy this amp is messing around. Only hardcore car audio fanatics (like me) would choose something this slamming to power their bass section. As it should be.
I've tried (and blown!) dozens of amps over the years. This one really gets the job done. I'm currently using it to ruin my eardrums via a 12" Crunch sub, mounted in a box in a Dakota club cab. The air pressure that the sub produces is prodigious, and this amp HITS HARD.
In addition, its really beautiful, and the metal work is meticulous and clean. It looks like its quality and feels like it too. Hifonics is in the same product group that brings us Crunch, Maxxsonics, Quart and others. I usually like most of their things, and this one is no exception. Pounding, just pounding.
